Congratulations, if you are reading this you survived Christmas.  In a few days I will hope to survive my birthday.  It is my sixty-mumble-mumble-ith.  So you may understand where this wordart is coming from.  As always, it is free for any non-commercial use.
You can get the PNG file for this at BOX here.  You can get the JPG here.  You can view all my wordart files (black and white) here.  The special and colored wordart files are here.

BLUE LIVES MATTER free wordart!

I had a fashion quote I wanted to post,  but it seems to be hiding on me.  [My computer is like Wonderland, and I'm a poor, confused Alice wandering around in it, just trying to find up.] So I thought I'd go with this one, some effect I was trying.  I consider it a tribute to my late father, a decorated policeman.  I hope you like it.
You can download this HERE on Box.  Sorry, I only have a jpg today.  My art program is ancient, and is not cooperating with png files at this time.

"Make a Statement" Gift Box Template Freebie

I'm so happy, the sun is out and I'm going to plant the last of my fall bulbs.  It's been snowy and cold up here on the mountain, so this may be my last chance.  I've just been waiting for it to warm up a bit before I go out, so I decided to quickly finish up a project so I could share it with you.

I call it the "Make a Statement Box".  There are two templates, one with an arrow and one without.  They are very similar to the chair-back box I posted awhile back.  This has a flat back area to play with.
You can see I did one with the arrow, and one without.  I cut out the heart shape on the pink box with a punch, and added the butterfly.  I really like how the shadow looks, don't you?
I didn't get as creative as I'd like, since I just put these together for examples.  But with Christmas looming in the near future, I'm sure you can come up with some cute ways to use this box!
You can download the box with arrow template here, and the plain version here.

Yeah, I know, I could just glue a back to a regular box, but what fun is that?!?
Enjoy!  Kat D.

Free semi-political word art, just for fun.

First, a reminder: We all have a choice what to believe, learn, follow, promote, care about, etc. and so on.  Please respect my choices and I'll respect yours.  No bullying, please.  As Mom said, if you don't have something nice to say...

That being said, here is one of my pressure relievers.  I might be done, unless I have some old stuff floating about I forgot to post.  I'm more interested in a new endevour I'm working on, which you can check out HERE, if you'd like.  Hint, it's about saving moola!

I think this is a lot "cleaner" than some of the t-shirts I've seen about online!

You can download the jpg for this here, or the png for this here on BOX.   Let me recommend, if you have a website/blog/whatever and items to upload/download, try BOX.  I have no affiliation with them, just love their no problem/no cost site.

Enjoy!  Kat

A freebie word art...

Boy, oh boy, I'm not happy we turned the TV on this fall.  Of course, I just wanted to see Lucifer, but this other political crap I can do without.  It gets my blood pressure up, I'm sure!  Here is a word art I did to relieve the pressure:

There might have to be more!  Hope you are all having a nice autumn.  Our blazing red maple has lost most of it's leaves already, here in the great northeast U.S.A.  And it's getting downright FROSTY at night!

A freebie chair box template for all my blog buddies! Thanks for visiting!

Back maybe a couple of years, chair boxes seemed to be all the rage. I wanted one, but could not find a free template.  So not long ago, I decided to make one for myself. And, since this is want this bog is all about, I want to share it with you.
I've had this made for awhile, but just finally got around to taking pictures so you can see what it looks like built:

A little ladderback chair gift box.

This is a very small box, good for a treat or jewelry.

As you can see, a truffle fits very nicely inside with room for tissue paper.

I added a "skirt" of lace, and added four wooden teardrop shaped beads for legs.

I hope you can use this and have some fun with it.  If you make one and want to show it off, just leave a link to the photo in the comments section.  And leave me a note if you feel like it, I love to hear from you all.

Enjoy! Kat D.

A free bit of wordart for you!

We haven't had much luck when making plans lately, so it's a good thing we've learned to "go with the flow" through the years!  You can download the png file for this here or the jpg file for this here.

So it seems like I'm back.  I finally went back on the Welbutrin, and despite still hating the side effects, I feel like I'm getting my life back.  I've worked outside in the yard, cooked and baked during the day, and even got out and talked to other people. And I'm starting to think creatively again.  Hooray!  My health still sucks, but I seem to be improving all the time.  And, at least I lost about 50 lbs while trying to figure out just what I could eat (certainly NOT gluten, dairy, egg whites, tomatoes, avacados, bananas, and lord knows what else). Even without pizza, life is pretty darn good, so I can't complain!

Enjoy!--Kat D.

A happy humpday freebie word art:

I was sitting on my front porch sniffling the other day (like most mornings), and I said this to my husband. Then, I said I should do that as a word art.  He suggested that I should check and see if someone else said that.  I said, I don't care, I said it!
So, for what I may lack in originality, maybe I make up for in sincerity.

Enjoy!  -Kat D.

You can get the png file for this wordart HERE at Box, or the jpg HERE.

Another WORD ART Freebie.

Guess I'm getting "political" in my old age.  Really tried to avoid that, but the "news" just keeps pissing me off.  We decided to turn off our TV for the summer, don't even get local stations now. Wow, mornings are so much more relaxing!

Here it is, for what it's worth.

You can download this freebie at BOX by clicking here.

You can view all of my files on box by clicking this link. Enjoy! - Kat D.

Wow, I woke up to snow today.  My daffodils must be hatin' that!

OK, this one may get me in trouble, but I just had to go for it.  It's all in fun, but hey, even my 98 year old grandma asked me what was with her clothes.

I've got a new box for you to, hope to get it up soon.  Hope your are enjoying your "spring"!  Have fun!  - Kat D.

A Cute and Simple Bunny Box Freebie for You!

Hello all you crazy crafters!  And you sane ones, if any exist! Ha!

I was looking for a simple bunny papercraft, and didn't see what I needed, so I whipped up this simple box with cut outs for your Easter treats.
Here's what the template looks like:
Preview Only, Download Templates below
You just cut out the paws and feet with an exacto knife (you'll probably do a better job than me, my hands really shake!).  You can decorate them before or after (I did after I built the box, and it shows!), or let the kids have fun with it.  I designed the template so the bottom flaps cover where the legs are cut out.  (Just be careful with the glue, so it doesn't pop out the holes.)  There are tiny holes where the paws pop out, so if you have very tiny treats, you might want to tuck them in tissue paper or put them in a plastic bag.

I had a lot of fun with this project, it being the first I've done in awhile.  I'm finally feeling much more perky and creative, so I hope I can get a few projects in before planting season arrives!

HERE ARE THE FREE BUNNY BOX TEMPLATE LINKS:

For the small (half page) bunny box (shown), go to BOX: Small Bunny Cutout Box
For the large (full page) bunny box, go to BOX: Large Bunny Cutout Box
And to view all my freebie folders go to Kat's Freebies

Have fun with it!  Send me links via Comments if you or your kid makes a cute version of this box.  And remember, your comments always make my day!
Enjoy, Kat D.
